Not quite first hand knowledge, but it's indeed a strange and true story. Last time the French News Agency mentionned this guy was in 1999, when he was given a resident permit but instead changed his mind and decided to stay at the airport. Personnally I don't know how he puts up with the food there. Since I'm leaving from that very airport for OSCON in a few days, I'm thinking maybe I ought to check him out!

By all means, please do and share anything you learn. Just be polite to the guy ... he may be slightly out of his head, but he is still a human being. I think the articles stated he is in Terminal 1.

The newswire story also hinted at the fact that he is a bit, er, confused.
Unfortunately I won't see him as I'm leaving for Terminal 2C which is quite a ways off from Terminal 1 in this huge airport.
