Today's Oracle gem should be of interest to many of you folks who do date related code. Oracle PL/SQL Programming, 3rd Edition, chapter 10, "Dates and Timestamps" is online. It never hurts to check out another way to do it. I even learned from my experience with dates in dBase IV (which was my first experience with a date datatype, even before I had experienced object-oriented programming).
I've gotten some great reading off of the Perl datetime mailing list recently, though I am not a subscriber or participant. There are a lot of issues they are hashing out; this kind of thing interests me intensely.
