I was on the way to pick up my girlfriend this morning at 8 CST, when the shuttle exploded. Didn't hear anything or see anything, but then again, I was lost in thought. ;)
We just saw a crank call on CBS news with a guy claiming a piece of metal was in his yard in "Euleff," TX. That's actually "Euless," and that's where we were this morning (I used to work there). It was a prank call, though; odd to see it aired on television.
We certainly hope this doesn't put a damper on the Promethius Project. Sarah and I are both the kind of people who want to go to Mars some day, or at least see it done.
