This weeks project is to make CPAN modules for dates in various Hindu calendars. First order of business: join the datetime mailing list and read the stuff at datetime.perl.org.

My initial plan is to use the ITRANS encoding simply because it is easy. But definitely I want Devanagari support and Gujarati as it is my native language.

Is there a module for ITRANS? If not, that would be a logical first step...
