My employer is looking for skilled Perl programmers (no, not telecommute). Apparently there are more jobs than people in the Wellington IT sector at the moment. My job hunting friends tell me this under-supply situation has not yet positively influenced the salaries on offer.

They have done in the past and will again in the future, but right now they're looking for experienced developers. (By the way, you do realise this is in New Zealand right?)
