Last weekend I started building a boat. Sounds grand, but this quote from the instructions that accompany the plans gives some idea of the scope:
«Here's five feet of fun for the whole family. It's a youngsters sailboat that dad can build in a weekend with two panels of plywood and help from the kids.»
Which just goes to show that rampantly over-optimistic project estimation is not the sole preserve of IT practitioners.
