To get myself in the mindset for Bio Con, I summarised a week's activity on the BioPerl mailing list last night. I plan to do this for as long as I can. I can understand about half of what I read, which I figure isn't too bad given that I specialize in only half of bioinformatics (the computer half). It sure is good to read a list where Lincoln Stein posts--it's like reading your shopping list and finding notes from Einstein in the margins.
