It sure was good to finally meet Allison. We'd traded mail on mailing lists, and in setting up her talk at OSCON. Not only is she clever (as anyone who heard her Dr Seuss lightning talk will attest--genius!), she's competent. It was so good being able to say "Allison, could you blah" and her do blah with no fuss or bother, reliably, and well.
And I'm not just saying that because she liked my banjo playing :-)
