Not really that much better than the first Batman. Its staggering box office take is due to timing (when I got back from NZ two weeks ago, I looked at the movie listings and asked Jenine "what is this shit?") than to quality (Toby Maguire was tofu, Kirsten Dunst dense).
Worth seeing a $4.50 matinee for Dunst's wet dress and all the homoerotic facial cumshot imagery.
