15-20 minutes to write a diplomatic message. 15-20 minutes of crafting, thinking about how it'll be read, adjusting words, trying not to give offence. Why oh why can't I just be a loose gun, and not give a toss? I'd get so much more done in a day!

I love working in edu, but faculty (particularly medical faculty?) can be a bit touchy. One of the few things I dislike about my job is how long it can take to handle email... for exactly that reason.
