I actually love Irish music (I'm a big fan of stuff ranging from The New Dubliners through The Pogues and into The Chieftans), but the closest they'll come to me is Pasadena. :-P

I know how you feel -- I ummed and erred about driving to Albuquerque today to see them play tonight. Decided against it in the end--damn PHP book.

Coming from Ireland I'd be more than happy to see the Dubliners retire into obscurity. Also don't get me started on the Corrs!

For a less "traditional" taste of Irish music try A House, Blink, The Pale, The Fatima Mansions or many other obscure bands.
