Yahoo has a cool service I've been using to find out the price of all the interesting houses around our place: http://yahoo.iplace.com/sales_search.asp. Can you believe that huge house with the vast yard (so vast it has a badminton court set up!) in Old Town went for only $218,000 in 1998? What a steal!
