Nice show! I dragged my sleepy ass out of bed at 3am, threw on as many layers as I could find, then wandered onto the front porch. Despite city lights, I was seeing four or five a minute. I didn't want to bundle William into the minivan to go out of town to somewhere with lower ambient light, but I bet it was good from the boonies.
I played with our video camera's zero lux setting and managed to capture a meteor. It looks a lot like the grainy footage coming out of Afghanistan in the early days of the war :-)
