The Wildlist tracks viruses actually found in the wild. (The support@microsoft.com one is Palyh if you're curious).

What you didn't mention is that it's used as the basis for most comparative testing of anti-virus products.... http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/

Just what I was looking for!

Cool. I was actually looking for a place to go report viruses last weekend, when I started getting peppered with palyh. (Lucky me, I got to be one of the first...)

Send them to a vendor - the wildlist doesn't accept samples from people who aren't registered contributors...

I couldn't send them to a vendor--I couldn't find a contact e-mail address at any of the vendors to pass the damn thing on to. The wildlist has a bunch of vendor contacts, though, so if (when, unfortunately) this happens again I have someone to bounce it to. (896 so far, and my first one predated the first reported one I saw in the various virus reports by about six or eight hours, depending on the timzeone of the original)
