I just realized that I'm swapping. I'm now literally being interrupt driven. If someone complains about something, I'll start working on it. When someone else complains about something else, I'll start working on that. I tried prioritizing and working on things in order, but that didn't work--everything's an A priority!
Time to ruthlessly delegate. An associate editor at O'Reilly is getting as many of my books as I can give her, and I'll only be involved in editing actual chapters. Allison Randal's effectively been running Perl6 for months now, and has offered to do what she can with YAS. I've given Ziggy cart-blanche to make the White Camels happen this year. I try to delegate OSCON, but the questions keep coming. About the only thing that I can't delegate anything of is Cookbook 2ed, but that may be in production within a few weeks.
