I've been casting around for weblog software. Slash is the de facto leader, but it's a major assfucking to install on anything that's not Red Hat, from what I hear. I've seen Greymatter and Movable Type. Any others you recommend? Yeah, I could write my own, but I'm practising laziness.

Gnat, I don't want to cast aspersions on any of those softs (knowing that some might have moved forward since my last tests) but in my experience the path to laziness would probably be to write your own. That is, until someone writes a CMS around AxKit with blogging facilities or something similar.

I had a bit of trouble with slashd on a FreeBSD box, but that was only because of a few assumptions in the launcher script. Everything else was peachy keen on any other system I've tried.If you can build Apache and mod_perl, you can install Slash.
