Riiight. And Rumsfeld certainly didn't send back Tommy's plan with half the troops gone. No no. All vicious lies and scurrilous rumours.

Well, absolutely no one who was privy to the discussions has gone on the record saying that Rumsfeld was holding back troops from Franks. I refuse to believe things for which there is absolutely no evidence.

And even if he had, this is shaping up to be one of the most lopsided wars in modern military history. Cheney was criticized for his so-called "meddling" in the first Gulf War; not too many people complained after it was over.
