My home office is now mostly set up. I still need a USB keyboard and mouse, an external monitor (for some value of "need"), and the printer from down the road, but I can dial in and work as I am now. Laptops are bloody amazing--it would have been nigh on impossible for me to translate myself halfway across the world and keep working.
I sent 98 pieces of email yesterday, which is typical for a Monday. I wrote a 500+ blurb for the conference, checked every one of the brochure's tutorial and talk speakers' bios to compile a list of authors for the book signing, and sketched out the zoo trip and hackathon. Fun fun fun!
Today: finish going through my mail and catch up on other books, then do some Cookbook, then work on a book that's due into production RSN.
