It's been a very busy week. I close on my house Tuesday. I received a verbal offer for the sysadmin/support job at my alma mater and could start tomorrow in theory.
What else...I bought $4,000 worth of appliances and lined up installation of broadband (insightbb.com). So life's rather chaotic at the moment.
The only fly in the ointment is that State Farm Insurance won't insure the house because it has a woodburning stove. That pisses me right off. So, the search for an insurance company that can (as well get all of my insurance business) will happen today.
On the tech front I'm reading O'Reilly's 802.11b book, Perl & XML, LWP, OpenSSL, and SSH books. There might be other books there but I think of them off the top of my head.
My current job is cool with me leaving. We'll I don't know if I'll be totally leaving. I'm working out a deal to still work for them. It will mostly be maintainence of the web/db stuff I've already written and maybe some other projects once I get a handle on my new job.
