It's rather interesting to be sort of working and sort of unemployed. I'm doing work (writing code) but am only really working because I know I should be paid someday and that I'll be getting a formal offer shortly. Then again I'm still on the dole. Very bizarre juxtaposition.
On the upside my cohorts can access the rudimentary system I've coded. Now I just need VPN up so I don't have to drive down to my buddy's place (where the network is being run) so I can get some coding done.
I suppose I can really get working on finishing up the comments and docs for what I currently have written. I could also sketch out the backside automation bit. I love design work, I really do.
gnat should be happy (and the rest of ORA). I brokedown, cancelled my bookpool.com order, and ordered from ORA. I even added the new SAX2 book as well. I suppose my time and the utility of reading them is worth the extra $80. :-) Besides I'm really interested in how SOAP might be useful for the automation and services that we want to offer our clients.
