Patience as a virtue

I really need to be like the still water.

A professor doesn't want me to deploy the pc's used in his research labs. The same professor doesn't want his graduate students wasting their time support the pc's in his research labs.

I must be still like the water behind a dam, patiently awaiting the day when comprehension dawns upon the dam and my utility springs forth.

I would prefer that a clue-by-four would actually work so that I don't have to wait for those pc's to get fucked up and tell the professor that I can't fix it because it's not one of my machines.
