The fun bits of my job are definitely looking at interesting things to buy and try to save money on them.
At the moment I'm looking for an all-in-one system. Basically a printer and copier combined having scanning would be nice, too.
So far I think Canon's imageRunner series fits the bill the best. It does the copy and print parts but doesn't scanner. I think that's a decent compromise since it can be a networked printer.
Of course, trying to buy as many desktops for my students to ravage in the labs is a bit more frustrating. At least flat panel prices are definitely "reasonable"
