I wish there were more information on YAPC::NA - stuff like whether dorms will be available or when speakers will be announced. I submitted a few proposals back in february and have yet to hear back, which is fine, but I'd really like to know when I should expect to hear. I'm not entirely certain I'll be attending if I'm not speaking, but I might - knowing when decisions will be made would help me decide, given the costs of last minute airline tickets. if dorms are available and I don't have to pay for a hotel then my costs are reduced and I might just decide to go anyway.
even the use.perl story asking for more details seems to have not generated a decent response. hmph.

yes, I suppose I do:)
but in reality, this summer's conferences will eat out a rather large chunk of my vacation days (curse the standard US vacation policy) so I have to think hard about where I want to spend my time. educating and evangelizing is one thing, and I'll do it if I'm offered the chance. however, if it's all about my personal learning/growth and rubbing elbows with greatness, well, I may decide in favor of spending more time with my (growing) family this year:)
