so, right before I left for OSCon I was having trouble with my aging E-ZPass, called for a replacement, and was told that two would arrive shortly, one for each car.



today two EZ-Pass units arrived exactly the same as my first two: inside an envelope also containing two anti-static bags, nicely folded, next to the units.

The anti-static bags aren't because the EZPass is static-sensitive, they're for putting the EZPass into if you want to go through an EZPass-enabled toll booth and not use the EZPass. They basically act as Faraday cages.
