Well after all the useful feedback I have been getting about search.cpan.org, it has just received its first makeover.

There is still lots todo, including a European mirror, so keep watching

Thanks for all the work on search.cpan.org.

I'd even like to see one day's worth of Recent on the front page. Let people see just how much we as a community have been cranking out. In just a few hours this morning, we have

• Statistics-Descriptive-2.6 -- Module of basic descriptive statistical functions.
• Module-Signature-0.07 -- Module signature file manipulation
• Net-DNS-ZoneFile-1.04 -- Perl extension to convert a zone file to a collection of RRs
• XML-Filter-NSNormalise-0.04 -- SAX filter to normalise namespace prefixes
• Graph-0.20101 -- graph operations
• Test-Prereq-0.15 -- check if Makefile.PL has the right pre-requisites

We should be proud of that. I'm not talking the entire history, of course, but just one day's worth is still pretty sweet, AND it's one of those things that people are very interested in.

I have thought about this, but I am not quite sure how it would fit. I dont think it would fit as a box at the side due to the module list index.

If you have a suggestion for the page layout then let me know

Is the source code for search.cpan.org available?

We're hoping to start sharing modules across departments and this the search.cpan front end would be better than building one ourselves.
