I just ported over a script from my development box to the server it will be living on, as I've successfully ported the MS-SQL database to MySQL. I have been using MS-Access for testing and it was taking about 2 hours to generate static content for 3000 or so products. It now runs in less than 2 minutes.
MySQL is fantastic, but you knew that already :)
