I got an email this morning from Jeff Bezos (sometimes I like to pretend that he cares enough to personally send them to me). It seems that Amazon are now going to sell apparel and accessories.
For almost a year, we've been working on a new effort which we've internally called "Ruby." Ruby is almost ready for its public unveiling. But, before we release it broadly, we wanted to give our best customers a chance to try it first (warts and all) and give us feedback.
Unfortunately it seems to be mainly warts. Choosing "Browse -> Men" (shouldn't that be "Browse -> Men's", I'm not browsing for men), gives me this wonderful error.

That's one thing I don't like about Amazon, they really make it hard to create links. I've always thought that keeping URLs simple so that you can easily give them to friends is a bonus. Doesn't "http://www.amazon.com/browse/Apparel/Mens" look much more inviting?
