The number of messages in my spam folder has just overtaken the number of legitimate emails. Since 6th August I have 781 messages in my inbox, 801 in my spam folder. Without Mail::SpamAssassin I don't know what I'd do.

I've been trying to reduce the amount of spam I get by bouncing messages to domains or email accounts I don't use anymore and hoping that people aren't still trying to use them. Unfortunately this means I don't accept postmaster@ or any misspellings. This is not ideal.

This last year, it's gotten really bad. I'm regularly seeing > 50% spam these days. Some days it's up over 75%. It really hits you hard on a dialup. But I really, really don't want to go in for spam protected email addresses. It wouldn't do much good at this stage anyway. :-(
