I'm working on a Spanish e-commerce site for one of our clients who've just got back with the translations. I thought some of them were a little odd, but chalked that up to my Spanish being a bit rusty.

The one that really sticks out as wrong is using "DirecciÃÂ³n de correo electrÃÂ³nico" as "email". I'm guessing that Spanish speakers use "email" too. Right? Is "email" part of a global vocabulary?

The "official" term is "correo electrónico"---remember, Spanish has the Academy that decides what words exist. People will say "email," but it's not "real" Spanish.

Further research: also said, "emilio" and "imeil" and "correo-e" and others. "correo-e" seems like the contraction of the official form, and might be the best one to pick, if you want to change things.

A quick search through my e-mail shows these results:

[...] le rogamos nos responda este e-mail [...]

[...] se la enviaremos vía e-mail [...]

I'm not Spanish (I'm Portuguese), but I went to a number of conferences and events in Spain... hence, these e-mails :-)
