It seems that there is a new sport that is becoming more widespread. You win if you are allowed to take more crap on the airplane than anybody else. The woman that I sat next to was the winner for our flight, she managed a huge backpack that was so heavy I could barely pick it up and that only fit in the overhead compartment with some force, a huge canvas bag stuffed with clothes that she stuffed under her seat, a big coat (it was 79 degrees out), a litre bottle of water, and a crumpled brown bag (unknown contents).
