On checking my bank balance today I discovered that I had a large amount of money in my checking account. For some reason I forgot that there shouldn't be a large amount of money in my checking account. After a few hours of being jolly pleased with how rich I was I thought I'd see what was up.
It seemed that my credit union wasn't content with giving me the money I borrowed from them on Monday so they thought that on Wednesday they better give me the same amount of money again for good measure. My bank sent me a letter informing me that they might take the money back because the bank that the credit union wrote the cheque from can't decide whether they should honor it or not. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get to keep the money but I'm glad I had the opportunity to feel wealthy, if only for a few hours.
