Last week I ran out of toothpaste. Overwhelmed by the selection at my local supermarket I began scanning the shelves for the perfect paste. Instead I found shiny coloured things that distracted me. It seems that now you can get toothpaste in a variety of exciting flavours if mint just doesn't do it for you. I left the store with the orange, knowing that at least now I can brush my teeth and drink orange juice after.
It seems that I am quite used to minty toothpaste. Orange just seems strange to me. I went back later that day and bought the regular mint and the "Cinnamon Rush". Red toothpaste is an odd thing, you have to get past the sudden fear that your gums are bleeding when you spit it out. It's a rush, in the sense that a mild pain sensation is mildly exciting. I think I'll just stick to the regular mint, but I have the other two handy in case I need to add some excitement into my brushing.
