I've got a shiny new pc so I decide to dual boot Windows XP (for games) and Linux (for proper things). XP goes on like a charm. Redhat 9.0 also installs smoothly and grub even works for dual booting (even though the installer claimed it wouldn't). Problem is X won't work. After the first reboot I ended up with wacky purple lines. Took a bit of hackery to make not boot in graphic mode (booting of the rescue cd and hacking /etc/inittab). Fiddling with X config files provided no joy. Installed nvidia drivers and now X gives me a cursor on a completely back screen. Great.
