Croupier is a great film. A great cast (including ER's Alex Kingson), great story, and good direction. It's the sort of film that could only be a British film. An interesting look behind the scenes at Casinos back home, I must have been away too long; the bank notes seemed so much bigger than I remember.
Alex Kingston

I didn't know that Alex Kingston used to be in Grange Hill. Grange Hill was an absolute classic kids TV programme and I used to watch it religiously when I was a wee lad. My Grange Hill 'era' was probably 1979-1986 (ish). From the early seasons (Tucker, Michelle etc) to later seasons (Zammo, Jonah etc) I was bloody riveted to the screen. In the late 80s it started getting a bit crap and I stopped watching it. I probably grew out of it at that point anyway.
Blimey, the things you remember...
