This really isn't a good movie. The only thing good about it is Angelina Jolie. It's not about suspending belief, it's shock.
For example, Lara is stuck at the bottom of the ocean with no oxygen or anyway to the surface. What does she do? She cuts her arm and hitches a ride on a shark. I am not fucking kidding. I almost believed she could punch a shark on the nose and that would cause it to rush for the surface and that she could hold her breath for so long and that she wouldn't get the bends for surfacing so quickly.
Lara Croft is so far away from being a female James Bond it hurts.
They only affect your brain if you're using it, right?
