AIM and iChat

Last night I felt the urge to click on the little bubble at the top of the screen and set my AIM status to "Available". To my shock, iChat loaded instead of AIM. This is fantastic, Apple has implemented intelligent applications that can replace inferior ones without me even noticing!

It would be nice if iChat supported MSN messenger so I can only use one client. If anyone wants to say hello, feel free to add flufflegavin to your buddy list.

One of the goofy things about iChat with AIM is that it adds new people to EVERY group, assuming you use groups (which if you've got ~100 buddies, I recommend strongly. I have to go into AIM and manually delete the ID from every group except the intended.

I just use Adium. I didn't like iChat.. too pretty, and seemed to keep an agent running in the background even when I closed it.

It seemed to me it only added it to the active or default group. Hm. The implementation is weird, regardless.
