As reported earlier on my blog I have release Padre the Perl Application Development and Refactoring Environment.
It is just an editor with an inflated ego.
Please try and comment on it but don't expect too much. It is in pre-alpha state.
So I installed it from CPAN with no problems. And it fires up and seems to be able to edit text files. So far so good, and it's only 0.03!!
And when you have hiliting and can mimick vim's perl-support I'll give it a real spin
How about PerlySense?

It would be great if you could list the features of vim-perl support you like as I think I am using plain vim...PerlySense - great, I did not know about that! I'll take a look soon.
I packaged Padre 0.4 and all the dependencies that are unavailable in Ubuntu Hardy and made them public. See the details in PerlMonks.
Hope you like it
