I've just seen a call for papers on a IEEE Software Special Issue with the theme "Rapid Application Development with Dynamically Typed Languages". It was posted to a Lua mailing list and I also found it in Squeak discussions.
The full CFP is here. It would be nice to see a Perl article in such academic forum. Maybe there is someone around willing to JFDI.
