September 7 is the Brazilian Independence day. Back in 1824, the Emperor Dom Pedro I proclaimed that Brazil was not to be a Portuguese colony anymore. (Of course, with a complicated historical background behind it.) What a beautiful day to hack! It is a shame I had to share the time of this holiday to arrange a few this at $work (which has nothing to with Perl).
