DICE is a frequent stop on my job hunt. (Anyone in Silicon Valley need a Perl-friendly, architect/project manager? Hire me!) Unfortunately, DICE is barely usable. You have to wade through a lot of crud to find job posts that might be interesting. And several recruiters play the "withdraw/repost" game to force their job postings to the top of the list, so you have to wade through the same uninteresting stuff day after day.
I wanted a single page of new, interesting jobs, so I hacked together a DICE spider that filters out duplicate posts and job descriptions that are definitely excludable. ("Accountant"? Not in this lifetime.)
Here it is. I hope it helps find someone a job.
(And moments later, merlyn points out WWW::Search::DICE, which does at least half of why my script does.)
