Word today that the last company I worked for, which was nominally a contracting shop, but one formed around a single large contract, just folded up their tent. The scar tissue from that gig is still tender. It'll be a while before I can write about it objectively. Good people (mostly), way overambitious project, and a special kind of kool-aide. This was the third gig in a row that I let myself get lured into by friends who needed help getting bailed out of trouble. (Note to self: The correct response next time is "I'm sorry to hear that you're in trouble. What are you going to do about it?")
