I guess you're impressed with me for keeping up these summaries against all odds. Don't be, I have great inspiration:

01:09 < sri> btw. punish draven, he fell asleep before posting the summary
01:10 < chansen> yes, i'll kick him to Germany ;)

Oh well I guess some things happened yesterday:

  • Hops 0.3 was released. See the announcement for more info, or check it out here.
  • The subversion repository reached revision 500, and everybody rejoiced.
  • Some more numbers: 108 subscribers to the catalyst mailing list now. Want to be 109? Sign up here
  • New XMLRPC plugin was released. WebLogApi.method is now dispatched to the WebLogApimethod action in the same controller, rather than the method action in the WebLogApi controller.
  • Our esteemed leader is available on the market:
11:52 <@sri> for the summary, i'm really interested in a nice permanent job
11:53 < draven> minimum 100k euro per year?
11:53 <@sri> and at least a porsche
11:55 <@sri> actually i would sell my soul for bandwith..
18:52 < sri> leet wipeout skills, something for the resume ;)

Our next release will be 5.2, because we've restructured the engines a little. (All the engine classes now have ::Base abstract classes, and the actual class with try to DTRT ( ::Apache will pick the right ModPerl version for you and so on). We've also added APR support for fcgi and renamed it to FastCGI to be more consistent.

You won't have to change your application, but it's not really backwards compatible, and you will have to regenerate the scripts, so we signify that with a more significant version number. So when looking for the sweetest Catalyst release, go for X.x.x.x.x.x.x.x .... :D
