Mitten im A...

Disclamer: Some German/Austrian language skills might be need to appreciate this to the fullest..

So, about a month ago, ORF, the Austrian national TV (and radio) broadcaster decided to update their program. On part of this very heavily advertised "new ORF" is a daily soap (more of a sitcom, in fact) called "Mitten im Achten", which means "right in the middle of the eighth district of Vienna". Where the action takes place.

I've only watched about 20 minutes in total of this program (I do not watch that much TV..), but the general consensus seems to be that the show is crap. Well...A few days ago, I was zapping through the available channels (which are ORF 1 & 2 (aka "FS1 und FS2"), ATV (the only privatly owned nationwide broadcaster which started a few years ago), Puls (a local broadcaster in Vienna) and Okto (a viennese "free-as-in-speech" community broadcaster). On ATV, I cought this (at that moment) very funny caption during some "high-society"-Show which apearantly featured one actor of "Mitten im Achten":

--------------
Some Semi-Famous Name
Actor of "Mitten im A..."

For non-german speakers: If you see "im A..." the first thing you think is "im Arsch", which literally means "in the ass" (or "up the ass"), or, more generally "fucked up". (cf "f**k", which could also mean "fork", but we all know what you first thought of...

And "Mitten im Arsch" seems to be concise summary of the success of "Mittem im Achten".

Oh, and the mail server I'm using seems to has a problem (again), so I don't get any mail at the moment... Sigh.
