New CPANTS metrics

domm on 2007-03-31T22:25:43

Even though I was fighting mail servers today, I managed to put some time aside for long-needed CPANTS improvements. (And I really have to thank the Catalyst/DBIC-guys for their wonderfull tools which made me finish a big project on time (more on this later...))

So, the new CPANTS metrics are:

  • docs_make_sense
  • mentions_kwalitee
  • uses_version_control
  • reuses_code
  • uses_recursion
  • correct_speling
  • nice_code_layout

You can find a more detailed description here

Happy gaming!

That's just preposterous!

I'm terribly sorry to say so, but I think those new rules are nothing short of outrageous! If you don't see what I mean, just look at what these additions did to the kwalitee ranking of WWW-Babelfish, Crypt-Shark and Net-Squid-Purge.

Pfah, I say, pfah!

You're a day early. (I don't care about your localtime...I'm just going by the date on the post...hey, the only time that matters is the use.perl.org localtime :-)

On the serious side, what do you think about a metric that has something to do with old unresolved bugs on RT?

You're a day early.

If my son hadn't phoned me earlier to tell of a trick he'd just played on his uncle, this wouldn't have registered ;)

Excellent Thomas :)
