We moved!

Yay!

After a tremendous strenuous weekend (including packing all (well, most) of our stuff (we have way to much stuff, BTW) on Saturday until 4:00 in the morning, carrying all of it down four floors of "Altbau" (~4 meters per floor), packing it into cars, carrying it back up 3 Altbau-floors (which was only manageable because we have a lot of very kind friends and relatives who helped us) we are now living in our new appartment.

The kids already took out the lego (even though their rooms (as all others) are a big chaos of boxes and furniture), the cats start to explore the new surroundings, and we try to implement a little κόσμος.

Different from some other poor souls getting internet working was no problem. We moved in on Sunday, Monday at 10:00 the guy from the cabel company showed up, installed the cabel modem and the telefon thing, I plugged in the computer, and that's it. Total time without Internet: 36 hours,

Now I only need to finish the internal cabeling (i.e. put sockets on the wires coming out of the wall) (certain family members don't fancy wireless...) so I don't have to stand in the antechamber when accessing the net...

For the few among us who don't speak/read Greek: what/who is: κόσμος ?

κόσμος (or kosmos in latin letters) is the opposite of chaos, i.e. order. I could look up the various meanings in my Gemoll (Ancient Greek -> German dictionary), but it's still buried in some box somewhere in our new appartment...
