Radio

Tonight I'm invited to Nerds on Air, a radio show on Radio Orange. I'll talk about the Austrian Perl Workshop, Perl, and Everything. I'm even allowed (well, invited) to bring my own music to play. Which remindes me that I should look through my records and select some of them...

Bicycling

Today was a very cycle-heavy day: I drove from our place to the national bank to exchange some old Schillinge I found in a drawer to Euros.

The I drove further up to Doebling (19th Viennese district) to meet with Roland to set up an account for Vienna.pm. People can now pay their fee for the Austrian Perl Workshop by transfering the money. Yay!

Then I drove to our office which is in the 12th district. Then to Naschmarkt to buy some Kebab. Then home.

The problem is that Vienna is way too hilly. I usually do not realise this because I tend to stick to the city center. But the western districts are steep! Especially along Guertel it's a constant up and down, made even worse by sharp turns of the bicycle lane.

Map available here.

I forgot to reset my bike computer before I left, but I guess I did about 35-40 kilometers. Thourgh heavy city traffic. Bicylces are so much faster in city traffic. Nothing is more fun then to pass by endless columns of cars filled with fretted car owners roasting in the heat (or beeing even bigger polluters if they have air condition) while listening to nice musik (M.I.A., Gorillaz) on the walkman...

There's even more cycling today as I have to drive to the radio show. Another ~8km. Uff

"musik"

I'm wondering: in what way is this different from ordinary "music"?

Just a typo, as 'Musik' is 'music' in german..
