Dutch Perl Workshop

Well, I decided (quite in the last minute) that I'm well enough to go to the Dutch Perl Workshop, hurried to Westbahnhof, cought my train, had an ok night on the train and arrived at the workshop today at 10:00.

It's quite fun to try to make a meaning of Dutch, which seems to be a mixture of English and German. But thanks to the slides and a general understanding what most talks are about, I can follow the speakers quite well.

I had a lightning talk, slides available here.

During one of my attempts to get suspend to disk working in the last months, I've accidently disabled the pcmcia-wireless card. Which means no net access... Luckyly there were cables as well, and after my lightning talk I dared to recompile the kernel, which went well. I'm writing this now over a wireless connection...

The workshop is very nice, thanks to MarkOv and all other involved people for setting it up!

Tomorrow we (Merijn, Allision and I) will travel by car to Brussels to attend FOSDEM. I hope wireless will work there, too.
