Some people constantly check their stock prices. Others constantly check their book sales numbers and/or book reviews. I check downloads.
Since most of my Ruby modules are on sourceforge now, I find myself doing daily checks of download numbers. Thank goodness it only seems to update about once every 24 hours, or I'd be there every hour (if not more) checking my popularity.
I have got to get a life.
