I see on slashdot that Star Control 2 has been open-sourced and has already been successfully built on linux. I remember that I bought Star Control 3 and thought it sucked. I don't remember exactly why now, but I remember trading it rather quickly. I also remember thinking that it was nothing but a rip-off of Starflight I and II. I guess a lot of folks felt that Star Control 2 was better.
I remember spending many hours playing Starflight II on my dad's XT (or was it an AT?) back in high school. Looks like there's some kind of Starflight III project in the works, too. Cool.
