I was just reading jdavidb's apology regarding women in Linux, which lead me to read one of the comments below. It said something like, "I have to show this to my LUG".
My problem with using "LUG" and "women" together in the same sentence is that, as a result of my American College Experience, the term "LUG" forever means to me "Lesbian Until Graduation", i.e. "4-year lesbian".
Now, just imagine how I read that comment. :/
I'm sure I'll be branded as a sexist pig or something now.
